The State Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Janet Agbede, has solicited collaborative efforts of relevant agencies in the State to enhance the Operations of the Command.
Mrs. Agbede who made her feelings known while interacting with the Management Team of the Public Complaints Commission led by the State Commissioner, Chief Chukwuemeka Nworgu, duringa courtesy visit in her office, said she appreciates and acknowledges the activities of the Public Complaints Commission in the State and called for sustained partnership between the Commission and the Nigerian Police.
In his remarks, the Federal Commissioner Public Complaints Commission, Abia State, Chief Chukwuemeka Nworgu, while describing the Commission as an ombudsman that investigates complaints brought before him by the Public, adding that the aim of his visit was to cement the existing cordial relationship between the Commission and the Nigeria Police.
He revealed that the Commission always visits any Government Agency whenever there is a change of guard to intimate it with the operations of the Commission while pledging the commitment of the Commission to assisting the Abia Police Command in the area of intelligence and thanked the Commissioner of Police for giving them audience.
The visit featured presentation of copies of the Commission’s Act to the Commissioner of Police.
