The State House of Assembly says it will sustain its oversight and other legislative duties in complimenting the efforts of the Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu towards developing the State

The Chairman House Committee on Works, Chief Ginger Onwusibe who gave the assurance when he led other members of the committee to inspect some road projects in the state, stressed the need for commitment on the part of the contractors in delivering quality jobs.

Contributing, the Minority Whip and Member representing Arochukwu state constituency, Dr Mike Ukoha while lauding the vision of Governor Ikpeazu in the execution of ongoing road projects in the state, commended the level of work done on the sites visited and urged the contractors to ensure that they keep to specifications and deliver on schedule.

Conducting the lawmakers round the projects, the Managing Director, Tunnel- End Investment and Rock Waters Nigeria Ltd., Mr Remmy Obijuru who appealed to the residents to desist from building on road alignment, converting the roads to car wash and blocking of drainages, appreciated government for the support the company and pledged to deliver quality jobs on all their projects sites and in accordance to specifications.

Our Assembly Correspondent Victor Ndukwe reports that some of the projects visited includes the Abayi Ariaria- Umuojima- Umuakpara road, the flood control project along Obohia road the Okpulu Umuobo Mgboko road, Obikabia road and the already completed Osokwa – Aro – Umueje road which is to be commissioned soon by the Governor.
