The Rector Abia state college of health sciences and management technology Aba, Professor Lawrence Chigbu says, the Institution has introduced courses that will offer one year certificate training program for the staff of the Abia state environmental protection agency on waste management and bio security.

Professor Chigbu who stated this in an interview with BCA reporters in his office said that the college has also incorporated in their medical technology the training morticians to give them the right knowledge of handling corpses, adding that the entry qualification is first school leaving certificate while that of ASEPA staff is WAEC.

He explained that the college has injected courses in optician dispensary, Dental technology, medical technology/Engineering that will train students on how to maintain,fabricate, repair equipment tools used in hospitals,medical laboratories, intensive care unit as well as theatre equipment assuring that he is fully committed to making their 2020/2021 academic year full of activities.

Professor Chigbu urged the staff of the college to re dedicate themselves to their duties to realize his noble objectives and thanked the state governor Dr Okezie lkpeazu for his determination to move the citadel of learning to an enviable heights.
