The Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu says the newly constructed ten kilometer, Osokwa-Aro Umuejie-Omoba Road is of utmost importance to his administration as it greatly enhances the economic activities of the people.
In a tweet after he commissioned the road alongside his Akwa Ibom State counterpart, Deacon Udom Emmanuel as part of his kinectic Abia programme, Governor Ikpeazu said that the road which cuts across Osisioma, and Isialangwa South LGAs also links neighbouring states like Akwa Ibom and Cross River and makes conveying of goods and services easier.
He thanked the Governor of Akwa Ibom state Deacon Udom Emmanuel for graciously accepting to commission the road and for his encouraging words at the event, described it as an indication of the spirit of brotherliness that exists between the two states and their people.
Governor Ikpeazu also thanked the people of the state who came out enmasse to support him during the commissioning exercise adding that their reactions show they appreciate his efforts at repositioning Abia through massive road infrastructural development.
He assured them that his government will not rest on its oars but is determined to do more for them.
The State Chief Executive urged them to protect the road and ensure that the quality of the roads are maintained.
