Government has frowned at the re-occurring irregularities in payment of Local Government pensioners.

Speaking while featuring in BCA Audience Participatory Program KOTA SIGN Co-anchored by the Director General Abia State Rural Infrastructural Development Initiative Dr. Ike Onyenweaku, the commissioner for finance Dr.Aham Uko said that henceforth government will not tolerate such act and warned those involved  to desist or b ready to face the wrath of law.

 Dr. Uko hinted that the present administration in the state is committed to ensuring accountability, transparency and fiscal responsibility in the civil service maintaining that the E-Ticketing introduced by the state government for revenue windows remain in place.

 The Finance Commissioner noted that parastatals in the state have continued to receive their monthly subvention adding that the Governor Dr.Okezie Ikpeazu has set up committee to ensure accreditation of courses in Abia State Polytechnic Aba.

Correspondent Simeon Kalu says some caller’s on the program described the modalities put in place to check irregularities in payment of salaries and pensions as a welcome development and called for it sustenance.
