Government has warned head teachers of private schools against flouting its decision on the official date for reopening of schools in the state.

 The permanent Secretary ministry of Education Elder Eze Ajuzie who stated this while monitoring compliance of government’s directive described it as unacceptable for private schools to reopen when government has issued an official date for school resumption and warned that henceforth such defaulting school will be sealed off.

Elder Ajuzie represented by the Director Inspectorate Mrs Rhoda Dimanochie stressed the need for schools in the state to always adhere strictly to government directives to avoid embarrassment and commended the Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for providing the conducive environment for education to thrive in the state.

He further charged private and public schools to ensure they observe all Covid-19 protocols after the resumption of schools on the first of next month.
