The Chairman, Bende Local Government Area, Chief Emmanuel Onwuchekwa, has commended the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for enthroning democracy at the grassroot by conducting the last Local Government election in the State.
Chief Onwuchekwa who stated this when the indigenous Welfare Association, Bended Chapter, paid him a solidarity visit, assured the Association that he will not relent in consolidating the developmental strides of the Governor at the Council.
The Council Boss used the forum to thank the PDP Stakeholders in Bende Local Government Area for sustaining the Zoning formula of the Party which say to his emergence as an elected Chairman of the Council.
In his remark, the Spokesperson of Bende Indigenous Welfare Association, Comrade Uche Obialaor, said they came to felicitate their son, Chief Onwuchekwa on his election as the First elected Chairman of Bende Town extraction and commended his achievements since assumption of office which including construction of solar-energy, street lights at the Council headquarters, renovation of the Chairman’s Lodge as well as improving the Council through the establishment of environmental Committee and urged him to sustain the tempo.
In a vote of thanks, Chief Chimezie Okogbnuo thanked the Chairman, Chief Onwuchekwa for his hospitality while praying for God’s grace and protection upon his administration.
