Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, says Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has set a standard in quality road construction which subsequent administrations will follow.

Chief Okiyi Kalu who made this known while participating in a BCA Radio Programme ‘’Public Arena’’ said the State Government has completed one hundred and five road projects in the State.

The Information Boss described road as a major enabler in the development of SME’s, Agriculture, Education among others, adding that work is in earnest at Ngwa, Ohanku, Obohia and Port-Harcourt roads, Aba.

He noted that the State Government is giving more attention to Aba because of its economic importance in the development of the State and made it known that all the Seventeen Local Government Areas have benefitted from the massive roads construction of Governer Ikpeazu.

Chief Okiyi Kalu revealed that Abia is now the third Investment destination in Nigeria because of the quality infrastructures especially roads put in place by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and stated that the Governor was the first to constitute a post Covid-19 Recovery Committee with Prof. Anya O. Anya as Chairman and Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as member.

He used the forum to congratulate Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her emergence as the Director General of the World Trade Organization, describing her as a good ambassador of Abia State and wished her well in office.

Information Correspondent, Chukwuma Emele, reports that all the callers who participated in the programme  commended Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s economic policies in the State.
