As part of the drive to sensitive the teeming Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME population, the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises Development held a two day Strategic Stakeholders Engagement Meeting.
Addressing the stakeholders during the meeting at the offices of the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, ACCIMA and Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, UCCIMA, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Nkwachukwu Agomoh, stressed the need for the stakeholders to identify with the programme of the Ministry especially the World Bank/N-CARES programme.
He noted that the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, attracted the programme to help MSMEs cushion the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The Permanent Secretary advised stakeholders interested in the programme which is a conditional Grant to visit the Ministry’s base at Abia Investment House to do the needful.
The meeting which featured questions and answers session was attended by Chief Nkem Aruoma, President, UCCIMA and Director General, ACCIMA representing the President among others.
