The Federal Government says it is investing one billion dollar on the construction of the Lagos Ibadan Expressway, second Niger Bridge and Abuja – Kaduna – Zaria – Kano Expressway.
It disclosed this at the Official Opening of the fifty-first Annual Conference of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Values, adding that over fifteen trillion naira would be required to bridge the country’s infrastructure deficit.

A Senior Tax Specialist of the bank Rajul Awasthi who asserted this at a virtual discussion on domestic revenue mobilization, said Nigeria has one of the lowest excise duty rates on tobacco and alcohol in Africa, and the duty rate on Cigarettes is lower than the standard set by the Economic Community of West African States.
