Reports say dozens of people have died in Canada amid an unprecedented heat wave that has smashed temperature records.
Police in the Vancouver area have responded to more than one hundred and thirty sudden deaths since last Friday.
According to the reports, most of the people who died were mostly elderly ones or those who had underlying health conditions.
Canada broke its temperature record for a third straight day last Tuesday with forty-nine point six degree Celsius in Lytton, British Columbia.
It would be recalled that the US North-west had also witnessed increased record of high temperature and a number of fatalities.
