The President, Abia State Customary court of Appeal, Justice Stella Maris Chinedu Ururuka Onyenso has inaugurated the Isiahia Eketa customary court and that of Mkpuka, temporarily located at Mkpuka civic center,Isiala Ngwa south Local Government Area.
Cutting the tape to formally inaugurate the isiala Eketa customary Court Justice Ururuka Onyensoh extolled Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his development consciousness and assured of the smooth taker off of the Court .
In their welcome address presented by Chief Anthony Asuoha, the President General of Ovungwo, Ovunkwu and Omoba, the people of the communities expressed joy that the establishment of the Court would enhance development and provide employment opportunities to their people .
The people used the opportunity to thank Governor Ikpeazu for the establishment of the Courts and appointing their daughter and wife, Justice Stella Maris Chinedum Ururuka Onyensoh as the President of customary court of Appeal.
The Communities pleaded with Governor Ikpeazu to approve the setting up of Omoba Customary Court to serve three Autonomous Communities namely Alaoma, Omoba and Ala-Ukwu with over eighteen villages.
In his speech after the inauguration of the Customary Court Mkpuka the Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government council, Comrade Ike Anyatonwu thanked the State Governor and the leadership of the State House of Assembly on the elevation of justice Stella Maris Chinedu Ururuka Onyensoh as the President of the Abia State Customary Court of Appeal and appealed for quick dispensation of cases on their amiable lands to enable their rightful owners resume farming activities on these lands.
