The Founder, Obinwanne Support Initiative, Mr. Randie Ukanwoko, has distributed bags of beans and vegetable oil to fifty indigent Bean Cake sellers in Umuahia South Local Government Area to enable them boast their trade.
Also distributed are free Exercise books with basic information on Diabetes prevention and control to Primary School Pupils in the area to mark Mr. Ukanwoke’s sixty-first birthday anniversary.
Speaking during the birthday ceremony at Abia Hotels, Umuahia, the Senator Representing, Abia Central, Chief T.A. Orji, noted that Diabetes has remained a dreaded health challenge in society and needs the collective effort of everyone to eradicate it.
The Senator who was represented by a Former Chairman, Ikwuano Local Government Area , Lady Ngozi Orji, commended the Founder, Oninwanne Support Initiative for his love and commitment to promoting the welfare of those in need and congratulated him on his 61st birthday Anniversary while praying for God’s continued blessings upon his life.
Also Speaking, The Senator Representing Abia South, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe who was represented by a frontline politician, Chief Isaac Ogbonna pointed out that Mr. Nwoko has been an instrument of stewardship and philanthropy who has invested in the service of humanity and Identified the gesture as a motivation to other stakeholders.
In his Message, The Celebrant and Founder, Obinwanne Support Initiative, Mr. Randie Ukanwoko, noted that he was inspired by the circumstances ravaging society, stressing that his focus remains assisting indigent Widows and the aged through free distribution of drugs, Food Palliative and youth empowerment.
He also promised to set up free Diabetes Screening and Counseling Centers in the three clans of Umuahia South.
Contributing, the Chairman on the occasion, Professor Sam Erugo, reiterated the need for everyone to extend a hand of fellowship to others regardless of position and described Mr. Ukanwoko as one of the contributors to National advancement.
Our Correspondent reports that the event which featured cutting of cake and toast was also attended by the Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Okochukwu, Speaker, Abia House of Assembly, Chief Chinedum Orji, the Secretary to the State Government , Mr. Chris Ezem and other dignitaries.
