The New permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Mr. Okechukwu Ihedioha has charged Staff of the ministry to be diligent in the discharge of their duties.
Mr. Ihedioha who gave the charge during the first meeting he had with the staff encouraged them to abide by the ethics of the public service, which include coming to work on time, respect for Senior colleagues, avoid truancy, among others.
He promised to organize orientation course for new intakes in the Ministry to enable them get acquainted with Civil service rules and urged them to identify with the ministry as their source of livelihood.
their remarks, the Director Administration Mrs. Chidinma Iheke and Director, Pharmaceutical services, Mr. Michael Nwankwo lauded the permanent Secretary for his track records in other establishments and pleaded with staff to do the right thing at all times.
Contributing, the Head of Laboratory Unit, pastor Ihemanma and chairman Staff Welfare Mr. kalu Elechi among others pleaded with the permanent Secretary to make his office an open one to enable Staff access information and directives appropriately and promised that they are ready to work with him.
