The Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has assured that he will continue to work selflessly for Ndi Abia until he leaves office in 2023.
The Governor who stated this while commissioning the newly reconstructed Immaculate Heart Avenue done by his administration reassured that no road done by his administration will be revisited by his successor, as the roads are done with rigid pavement technology.
The State Chief Executive thanked the Speaker and Members of the State House of Assembly for being key players in the success of his administration promising to complete the Osisioma Ngwa Flyover, Eziukwu, Omuma Ngwa Road and other strategic projects embarked upon by his administration before the end of his tenure.
Also speaking the Deputy Governor Sir Ude Okochukwu said that the roads executed by the Governor are strategic and critical to the residents of Aba, pointing out that the continuous commissioning of roads by the present administration is a proof that the administration has fulfilled Its campaign promises.
The Speaker Abia State House of Assembly Chief Chinedum Orji, Chairman House Committee on Works Ginger Onwusibe and other members said they will do more within their powers to assist the Governor in the good works he is doing in the state.
According to them the State House of Assembly is proud of the Governor achievements as he is taking Abia to a higher heights.
Speaking the Commissioner for Works, Elder Bob Ogu said the road is very important to the economic growth of the area and state, disclosing that Street Lights will be installed soonest while the road will connect Ogbor Hill Aba.
In an address presented on behalf of the Chairman Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area Christian Kamalu, the Deputy Chairman thanked the Governor for the show of love and assured that the people of Osisioma will not take it for granted.
He said that Osisioma people are appreciated of Governor Ikpeazu benevolence to the council and listed many roads constructed and delivered by the Governor.
In their various speeches, Former Commissioner for Transport and Housing Prince Enyinnaya Ubani, ACCIMA President Sir Lawerance Obetta, the Chairman Landlord Association, Immaculate Avenue Road, Prince Nwaeze and a Representative of SS Anthony and Jude Catholic Parish, the Rev. Father Francis Onuoha said the development will help checkmate the activities of hoodlums in the area as security agent can now patrol around the area and thanked the Governor for the gesture.
