The Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu says his administration has concluded plans to hand over consolation funds to traders in Ngwa Road Market, Aba, whose shops recently underwent reconstruction.
Featuring on BCA Audience Participatory Program “KOTA SIGN” co-anchored by the Director General Abia State Rural Infrastructural Development Initiative, Dr. Ike Onyenwaku, the Governor commended the traders for their patience adding that, the ongoing reconstruction work in the market is to ensure they trade in more conducive and environment, while expressing the hope that Ariaria and Eziukwu markets in Aba will also be reconstructed.
Dr. Ikpeazu who reaffirmed his early promise to officially hand over those shops to the original owners said he has completed three adjoining roads connecting Ngwa road and described the ongoing reconstruction of Omuma road Aba as strategic to the people.
The State Chief Executive said that he has completed both drainages at Port- Harcourt road Aba and assured his administration’s resolve to complete Isialangwa through Umuene connecting Ekete and Obikabia roads.
Correspondent Simeon Kalu reports that some caller’s on the program including Mr. Richard Nwagbara, Nnaemeka Isaac, Coach Joy and Peter Aguamba said the cement rigid technology introduced by the Governor is yielding positive results and enjoined all to sustain their support and prayers to the present administration in the state
