The Wife of the Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, has commissioned three bungalows she built for indigent persons in Osisioma Ngwa and Obingwa Council Areas.
The beneficiaries include Mrs. Grace Chinyere from Aro Umuotu in Osisioma, Mrs. Jolly Nwankire of Mgbaraugba Umukazi Ovom and Mr. Uzo Nwogu from Obete Ukwu Ibeme both in Obingwa Council Area.
Speaking while handing over the keys of the buildings to the beneficiaries, the wife of the Governor described provision of shelter for the indigents as one of the ways of giving succor to the downtrodden in society.
The Wife of the Governor who was represented by Mrs. Ozioma Ahaiwe urged the public to pray for those in authority for good governance and assured that she will continue her charity works to all parts of the state.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area, Chief Christian Kamalu, represented by his Deputy, Mr. Uchenna Jumbo, extolled the Wife of the Governor for her kind gesture to the less privileged in society and prayed God to bless her.
Responding on behalf of other beneficiaries, Mr. Uzo Nwogu expressed gratitude to the wife of the Governor and pledged their continued support to the present government.
