The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to direct the probe of allegations on the missing thirty million dollars Safe-School Fund.

In a statement the Director SERAP, Kolawole Oluwadare who urged the President to direct the Attorney General of the federation and Minister of Justice Mr. Abubakar Malami  to do the needful insisted  that anyone involved should be brought to jusctice.

The statement also urged President Buhari to ask the United Nations Special Envoy for Global Education, Mr. Gordon Brown to wait for the outcome of any investigation into the spending of the said thirty million dollars initially budgeted for the Safe School Initiative programme, before leading the international community and donors to push more funds for the programme.

SERAP’s statement follows the killing of three adopted Green Field University students, and the plan lauched by the Federal Government last week to raise additional funds for Safe Schools.
