The Chairman Bende Local Government, Chief Emmanuel Onwuchekwa has called on Royal Fathers in the area to sustain their support for Governor Okezie Ikpeazu led administration in the State.
Chief Onwuchekwa who gave the advice during the presentation of Eze Elect of Ntalakwu Autonomous Community Chief Chike Okorie at Bende Council Headquarter described the traditional stool as a bridge between the Government and the people in the communities.
The Council Boss further commended the community for the peaceful selection of their Eze Elect and promised to forward his documents to the State Government for further action.
In his address, the President General of Ntalakwu Autonomous Community Chief Eze Uguru represented by Mr. Oti Adibe said that the selection of their Eze Elect Chief Chike Okorie as a replacement for their Late Traditional Ruler Eze Maduako Kalu Umeh who died in 2016 is in accordance with their constitution and expressed optimism that Chief Okorie will continue in the development of their community.
In his speech while presenting Eze Elect to the Council Chairman, the Schedule Officer on Traditional matters, Comrade Orji Iheukwumere said that the community has fulfilled the requirements for their Eze-Elect presentation and described Chief Chike Okorie as a Retired Public Servant who has been in the forefront of the development of his community.
Speaking, the Eze-Elect Chief Chike Okorie thanked his community for his selection as their Eze-Elect and pledged his loyalty to Governor Ikpeazu led Administration in the State and Chief Onwuchekwa administration in Bende while promising to rule with the fear of God and truthfulness.
