In line with the need for training and retraining of staff in the State Civil Service for effective discharge of duties, the Ministry of Transport has successfully completed a two day in-house training for their administrative staff.
Declaring the workshop open, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Ijeoma clara Okere stated that most staff lack the rudiment of service functions in terms of punctuality, loyalty and commitment to service, hence the need for the training.
She therefore encouraged all staff to participate fully in the noble gesture in order to improve their work output.
In her contribution, the organizer of the workshop who is the Director of Administration of the Ministry Mrs. Ijeoma Opara who applauded the Permanent Secretary for approving the programme also enumerated the areas of training.
A retired Permanent Secretary Mr. Okwuchi Njoku led other resource persons and Directors in the Ministry to give impactful training to the staff.
In a vote of thanks, the Director of Transport Comrade B.T. Oleka expressed gratitude to the Head of Service and all the organizers of the in-house training for finding it worthy to carry out the exercise.
