Agbama Ring Road.

Residents of Agbama Housing Estate Umuahia have expressed gratitude to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for the on-going construction of Agbama Ring Road.

Speaking when the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr. Eze Chikamnayo paid an inspection visit to the area, some residents of the Housing Estate including the oldest driver in Agbama, Chijioke Ukaegbu, a Transporter David Onyebuchi and a barber, Onyemachi Ibe, said the road which has been impassable for many years, when completed will bring light into Agbama as well as increase the economic viability of the area.

Also speaking, the leader of Agbama Political Forum, Elder Uche Achugbuo, the Coordinator Elder Ikeokwu Ogbuji, a woman leader Madam Gift Onyeike and a Clergyman Apostle Okey Igwe said Governor Ikpeazu has shown his love for the people of Agbama through the construction of the Agbama Ring Road and pledged their total support for Governor Ikpeazu led administration.

They appealed to the Governor to come to their aid by constructing the Area Six gully threatening the Housing Estate.

Responding after inspecting the progress of work at the Agbama Ring Road, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr. Eze Chikamnayo said Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has saved lives and property of the residents through the construction of the road, revealing that the Governor remains the first to start the construction of internal roads in Agbama Housing Estate Umuahia.

Dr. Chikamnayo described the Governor as caring, perceptive, compassionate and in touch with the needs of the people and commended them for appreciating the Governor’s efforts in road construction as well as cooperating with the contractors handling the project.

The Information and Strategy Boss assured that the road will be completed and advised the people to desist from harmful practices like dumping of refuse in drainages, burning of tires on roads and indiscriminate construction of bumps to help the road stand the test of time.

BCA Correspondent Chukwuma Emele reports that the Director General of BCA, Sir Anyaso Anyaso and Media Aids to the Governor accompanied the Commissioner on the inspection visit.
