LERU COURT.

The State Chief Judge, Justice Onuoha Ogwe has appreciated Abians for assisting government in the development of the state.

Justice Ogwe who expressed his feelings while commissioning the Chief Magistrate, Court Umuchieze Leru in Umunneochi Local Government Area, described the Court as an edifice and lauded the people of Umuchieze for self-sponsoring the project in the spirit of patriotism.

The Chief Judge who was accompanied by the Chief Registrar, Umuahia High Court, Justice, Mrs. Victoria Okey Nwokeukwu advised the clan to guard the court building jealously.

He promised that the Judiciary will do all within its power to ensure efficiency of the court and charged the Court Staff to be diligent and meticulous in their duties.

In his remarks, the Administrative Judge for Ohafia Judicial Division and son of the area, Justice Kenneth Okereke thanked the Chief Registrar, High Court Umuahia, Mrs. Victoria Okey Nwokeukwu for her zeal and sacrifices to ensure the smooth take-off of the court while expressing gratitude to the Chief Judge, Justice Onuoha for gracing the commissioning

Earlier in his speech, the President General of the Leru Patriotic Development Union, Friday Ugwaka represented by the Deputy Leader Umunneochi Legislative Council, Pastor Leonard Nwankwo explained that the community embarked on the court building project in support of Government’s developmental efforts and appealed to the State Government to employ their indigenes in the Judiciary while thanking Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and other notable indigenes of the area for realizing the project.

Judiciary Correspondent, Daniel Ugorji reports that the Divisional Police Officer Nkwoagu, the Administrative Magistrate for Umunneochi Magisterial Division, Mrs. Juliet Rex-Chikezie, Traditional Rulers and other prominent indigenes of the area graced the occasion.
