Women have been encouraged to depend on God absolutely for strength and courage to carry out their enormous responsibilities as wives and mothers.
In a sermon to mark the celebration of the 5th Sabbath for the Month of May by the Women Ministries of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at the Unity Chapel Government House Umuahia, a member of the young Adventist Women Ministries, Miss Chikodi Isaac noted that mother is first teacher a child sees at birth.
Miss Isaac pointed out that unless mothers are resolute and faithful to their calling, they will not be able to carry out the task of motherhood.
Preaching on the topic: “Dare to stand out”, Miss Isaac commended mothers for their resilience, explaining that they can still raise children who will impact the world positively, and advised women particularly the younger ones to rise above every limitation, evil influence and build Christian characters that will make them stand out as priceless jewels.
Our Correspondent, Chimereze Nwokeji reports that the Governor’s wife, Dr. Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu was among government officials who attended the service which featured many activities by the women including song renditions by the Unity Chapel, Adventist Women Ministries Choir.
