The Abia State Chapter of the National Moringers Farmers Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria has been inaugurated in Umuahia and her executive elected with Dr. Ama Mba as the State Chairman.
Speaking during the inauguration, the National Vice President, Alhaji Musa Iheakaram explained that the association works in partnership with the Federal Ministries of Trade and Investment, Agriculture, Raw Materials and Export Promotion Council, among others.
Addressing the newly elected officials of the Abia State Chapter of the association, the National Legal Adviser, Mr. Suleiman Ukandu, enjoined them to be serious with the activities of the new association and create the structure of the association at the Local Government level.
He noted that seminars and workshops would be organized at the state level to create awareness on the association and the value addition in the Moringer Farming, Processing and Marketing business, both at the local and foreign markets.
In his acceptance speech, the State Chairman of the association, Dr. Ama Mba thanked the national leadership of the association for electing them and promised to make the association formidable as well as carry every member along.
Other members of the executive are: Mr. Emeka Asonye – Deputy Chairman, Mr. Ekwekwu Martins – Secretary, Mr. Kenneth Agwu – State Auditor, and Chief Edwin Ihejirika -Organizing Secretary.
The rest are Chinyeaka Edwin -Youth Leader, Mrs. Ugonna Nwoha – Woman Leader, Mrs. Vivian Adaku – Treasurer, Mrs. Jolly Emeruche – Assistant Woman Leader, Mr. Chibuike Ogonna – Assistant Secretary and Andrew Uzonna, – Youth Leader.
