In a bid to determine the actual number of the workforce in the State Civil Service, the Head of Service, Sir Onyii Wamah, has directed that the first phase of Bio-Metrics capturing in the State Civil Service commence on Tuesday next week.
A release signed by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Common Services and Service Monitoring, Deacon Uzoma Isiakpu, says the exercise will kick off with all the Ministries at the New Secretariat Complex between eight o’clock in the morning and half past three in the afternoon.
According to the release, the Pilot Ministries are Housing, Information, Tourism, Arts and Culture, Industries, Trade and Investment.
Others are the ministries of Post Basic Education, Basic Education, health, Works, Lands, Transport, Sports, Co-operatives and Rural Development and Petroleum.
The release further stays that the exercise is compulsory for all Civil Servants and advised them to take it serious in their own interest.
