SOLIDARITY VISIT.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Okey Ahiwe has commended the people of Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area for their solidarity and sustained support for the present administration in the state.
Chief Ahiwe who made the commendation during a reception organized by the people of Isiala Ngwa North LGA in solidarity to their Illustrious son who emerged as the PDP flag bearer for next year’s gubernatorial election, said the overwhelming victory shows that the Governor is a true democrat and enjoined them to mobilize support for the victory of the party in the next year elections.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor further extolled the people for the warm reception accorded the seasoned academic and advised those who are yet to obtain their PVCs to do so.
In their remarks the Chairman Isiala Ngwa North LGA,Mr Chinwendu Ochulor,the PDP Chairman Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area Elder Sam Esindu and Sir Ambrose Nwachukwu said that the reception was in appreciation of God’s favour to an accomplished Professor Uche Ikonne who emerged as PDP flag bearer for next year’s governorship polls and thanked the state PDP and delegates for electing him.
Contributing a Youth Leader Mr Tony Otuonye, Chief Ebere Ihuoma and Mrs Uchechi Ikonne described the victory of Prof Ikonne at the just concluded PDP Gubernatorial Primary as an act of God and expressed the people’s readiness to mobilize support for the victory of the party at the general elections.
Responding the PDP Gubernatorial candidate for the next year’s elections Prof Uche Ikonne thanked the people for organizing the reception in his honor and assured that if elected his administration will deliver on its mandates.
Prof Ikonne further used the opportunity to commend the Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for his intellectual capacity in piloting the affairs of the state and thanked other stakeholders for attending the event.
