Members of Abia Grassroot Movement have congratulated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on his emergence as the PDP flag bearer for Abia South Senatorial District in next year’s general elections.
The movement which made the congratulation at the end of its executive meeting, also congratulated Professor Uche Ikonne on his emergence as the PDP gubernatorial candidate for Abia as well as other PDP candidates.
Addressing the meeting, the Founder and BOT Chairman, Abia Grassroot Movement, Chief Israel Amanze advised their members not to bow to political pressures but remain steadfast in the PDP.
Chief Amanze He said the State executive will start visiting local government and ward chapters of the Movement to give them information and subsidized fertilizers and farm inputs for the year.
In their contributions, the State Chairman of Abia Grassroot Movement, Bonny Ume, the State Secretary, Christopher Chigbu and the Woman Leader, Glory Monday, thanked Chief Israel Amanze for assisting them and assured of their continue support for the PDP.
In his remarks, an executive member of the organization, Comrade Sunny Onwuma, urged them to ensure they register and collect their PVC’s in readiness for the general elections.
