London’s Labour Mayor, Sadiq Khan has described the Metropolitan Police as a force facing real challenges and real problems.
Mr. Khan told reporters that evidence of systemic sexism, racism homophobia, discrimination and misogyny had emerged in recent months.
He said the metropolitan Police new Commissioner, Stephen House would need to work at restoring trust and confidence even as he recognized the dedicated, decent and brave officers on the force.
