Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC)

The attention of the State Ministry of Basic Education has been drawn to the obstructionist activities of some proprietors of private schools in Aba against the lawful conduct of the year 2022 National Personal Audit which commenced nation-wide on Monday this week.


A release endorsed by the Commissioner for Basic Education Chief Ukwu Rocks Emma states the Federal Government through the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and the State Government through the Ministry of Basic Education have embarked upon the National Personnel Audit in order to generate a realistic data base of the Abia State Education sector.


The release made it clear the State Government has directed all Heads of Nursery, Public and Private owned Basic Schools in the State to take part in the National Personnel Audit exercise, give maximum cooperation to the enumerators and ensure that their pupils and students are dully enumerated.


According to the release all school Proprietors are to ensure strict compliance to the directive or be prepared to face the sanction of total shutdown of their schools.
