The State Head of Service, Sir Onyii Wamah says government will partner Charted Institute of Personal Management, Abia state branch in training and retraining of its workers.
Sir wamah who stated this when the executive of Charted Institute of Personnel Management Abia branch led by its Chairperson, Mrs. Chimdimma Nwanju paid him a courtesy call in his office, said the Institute is known for Personnel development and management.
He disclosed that human development is important in achieving result and assured them that his office would give approval and support for public and civil servants in the state who are qualified to register with the Institute.
The HOS congratulated the chairperson Mrs. Chimdimma Nwanju who is also the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, expressing hope that her tenure will experience positive turn around in the Institute.
In her remarks, the chairperson Mrs. Nwanju said they came to intimate the Head of Service with their activities and solicit his support for their forthcoming National conference holding in October this year.
She further appealed to the Head of Service to give approval for those that would be willing to attend the conference, pointing out that the state is expected to be fully represented in the conference and called on administrative officers in the state to register with the institute.
In his speech, the Assistant Secretary of the Institute in the state and the regional manager Eco bank Mr Eneka said the institute is a regulatory body geared towards human resources management.
