ROTARY CLUB OF UMUAHIA CENTRAL DISTRIBUTES SOME NOODLES, CASH DONATIONS AND WHEELCHAIR TO INDIGENT PEOPLE IN ABIA.

The members of the Rotary Club of Umuahia Central, District 9142 has distributed Noodles, Cash Donations, and wheelchair to some indigent people in the state, with a charge on people to always extend hands of fellowship to the needy.

Speaking while handing over the items to the management of the Daughters of Mary Mother of Mercy Compassion Home, Ahiaeke Ibeku, Umuahia and Agape Charity Home, Ubakala, the President, Rotary Club of Umuahia Central, District 9142, Dr Eugene Ohuaba noted, that the Rotary Club always engage in community development and humanitarian assistance.

Dr Ohuaba  pointed out that the club in collaboration with CONNAK Foundation Amuzukwu, Umuahia has donated   a wheelchair to little miss Ugonna Obinna who has spinal cord injury and distributed food items to numerous orphanage homes since he was elected into the position and thanked God for the opportunity to give back to society.

He commended the members of the club for their steadfastness in sustaining the existing love and unity in the club and called on Government, Non-Governmental Organizations and other stakeholders to see charity as a way of life.

In his remarks, the immediate past President of the Rotary Club of Umuahia East, District 9142, Mr Sunny Megwara, noted that the club has made much impact in the service of God and humanity and promised to always reach out to the vulnerable ones.

Responding, the Secretary, Compassion Home, Daughters of Mary Mother of Mercy, Ahiaeke, Ibeku, the Rev. Sister Chimuanya Mmadu, Miss Jacqueline Okonkwo of Agape Charity Home, Umuahia South, and Mrs Chetachi Obinna, enjoined the members of Rotary Club not to relent in their efforts  and prayed God to bless them.
