UNITY CHAPEL GOVT HOUSE:
A Seventh day Adventist Clergyman, Pastor John Onyeani has enjoined Christians to, humble themselves before God and allow Him pilot their affairs.
In a sermon to mark the Adventist men’s organization’s day at the Unity chapel Government House Umuahia, pastor Onyeani described obedience to the word of God as key to man’s salvation, stressing that God’s commandments are His standard of judgement for all humans.
Preaching on the topic, work out your salvation with fear and trembling, the clergyman noted that though God through Jesus Christ brought salvation to man, those who received this great grace owe it as a duty to obey God’s commandment, pointing out that God detastes unserious Christians particularly fathers who make excuses in their place of duty where obedience to God’s commandments is required.
Our Correspondent, Chimeremeze Nwokeji reports that the wife of the Governor Dr Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu and the Chairman ABSIEC, professor Mkpa Agu Mkpa were among government officials who attended the Church service.
