CORPS MEMBERS                                  

A total of nine hundred and forty, 2021 Batch B, stream I corps members comprising four hundred males and five and thirty four females deployed in the state have successfully completed their service year.

Speaking during the passing out ceremony of the 2021 Batch B Stream I corps members held at the Umuahia Township Stadium, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu represented by the SSG Mr Chris Ezem congratulated the corps members, pointing out that government will continue to support the NYSC scheme in the state.

Governor Ikpeazu who explained that the end of a service marks the beginning of another greater service, adding that their contributions to national growth and development will forever be cherished by Abians.

He advised them to remain good ambassadors of the state wherever they find themselves and prayed God to guide them in their future endeavors.

 In his address the chairman NYSC Governing Board and commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Charles Esonu congratulated the passing out corps members for the successful completion of their service year, and assured that government will continue to pursue the policy of rewarding excellence in service, to outstanding corps members.

Earlier in his welcome address, the NYSC State coordinator, Mr Julius Eke said the corps members did their best and have contributed to the growth and development of the State in the various areas of their primary assignments and appealed for assistance in rehabilitating the orientation camp in umunna Bende.

The event which featured parade, and presentation of state award to the overall best corp member and optometry graduate from the university of Benin Mr Elaiho Samuel  who hails from Edo state   was attended by top government officials, paramilitary, DG BCA,  Sir Anyaso Anyaso represented by the the Director Planning Research and Statistics, Elder Chris Esinwa.
