The Executive Secretary, Secondary Education Management Board, Mr. Osuagwu Christopher, says public secondary schools in the State have fully re-opened for serious academic work.

A release endorsed by the Public Relations Executive, Chief Mrs. Ruth Afari for the Executive Secretary, advises parents to provide their children and wards with the necessary materials for learning and ensure that they attend school as teaching and learning have commenced in earnest.

According to the release, the Executive Secretary and his team will be visiting the various schools to monitor lateness, truancy and absenteeism as well as effective teaching and learning.

It states that the attendance register should be duplicated on daily basis and sent to the office of the Executive Secretary for submission to the office of the Commissioner for Post Basic Education, adding that Principals should ensure strict compliance and be guided accordingly.
