The PDP Gubernatorial Candidate for next year’s general election, Prof. Uche Ikonne, has charged Abia youths to prepare themselves for strategic partnership in the leadership of the state.

Professor Ikonne gave the charge while receiving the leadership as well as some members of Nenu, Umuomainta Nbawisi, Ukwa East and West Youths, who paid him a solidarity visit in his Agburuike Nsulu Country home.

Addressing the youths, the gubernatorial candidate noted that the youths represent the future of the country, calling for sustainable efforts to mould them into becoming more of leaders of today and the future.

He disclosed that if elected, the youths will constitute forty percent of his administration, with a promise to run an all-inclusive government where every Abian will have a sense of belonging.

Professor Ikonne commended them for their resolve to pitch their support and solidarity to Uche Ndị Abia Campaign Organization and promised to integrate them in the already created ICT platform of his campaign structure.

In their separate speeches, the Leader of Nenu Youths, Alozie Nwarunma, Umuomainta Nbawsi Youths, David Ochonma, and Ukwa East & West, Kingsley Nna Okadigbo said they came to show solidarity and support for Prof Ikonne’s governorship ambition, adding that their decision to throw their weight behind him is born out of their conviction on his capacity and track records of achievements in the academic community and beyond.
