GOVERNOR IKPEAZU COMMISSIONS FIRST OXYGEN PLANT IN ABIA.

The Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has extolled a diaspora-based Medical Doctor, Dr. Emeka Nwakanma, for his vision in establishing an oxygen plant – Neu-Dyx Global Investment Limited in the State.

Dr. Ikpeazu who made the commendation while commissioning the Oxygen plant at Amuzu Ohanze in Obingwa Local Government Area, described the investment as one of the numerous dividends occasioned by the sustained peace and security that have characterized his administration.

Governor Ikpeazu represented by his Chief of Staff, Chief Okey Ahaiwe, encouraged others in the diaspora to embark on investments that will add value to the citizens’ lives and advised the host community to ensure adequate security of the project.

In his address, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Osuji represented by the Permanent Secretary, Deaconess Franca Ekwueme, said the Oxygen plant which is the first to be established in the state, has replicated other health facilities of Dr. Ikpeazu-led administration in the state.

The Commissioner who noted that it is a distinctive project aimed at assisting in provision of the health needs of Abians said, it is affordable and sustainable and enjoined Abians to take advantage of the investment.

In their goodwill messages, a former Deputy Governor, Chief Acho Nwakanma and State Chairman, Private Hospital Doctors, Dr. Ben Kuba, said the establishment of the Oxygen Plant in the state will reduce the risk of going to other states to source for Oxygen andlauded the Governor for providing the enabling environment that attracts foreign investors to the state.

Speaking, the Obingwa local government Chairman, Mrs. Uloma Nwogu and Elder Chimezie Ikpeaba who spoke on behalf of the host Community, Amapu Umunwulu Isiala Mbaato, thanked the investor, Dr. Emeka Nwakanma for siting the project in their area and assured of its security.

Presenting his address, the Investor and CEO Neu-DXY Global Investment Limited, Dr. Emeka Nwakanma said the establishment of the Medical and Industrial Oxygen Plant followed the ugly experiences patients and hospitals pass through in seeking for  Oxygen,  resulting to high cost and deaths of some citizens.

He said the company produces purified medical oxygen made of stainless steel material at the percentage recommended by World Health Organization and at a reduced cost.
