BORNO STATE RECORDS CASES OF MONKEY POX.

Reports reaching BCA News desk say Borno State Ministry of Health has confirmed that there is an outbreak of Monkey pox in the state.

The state Director of Public Health, Dr. Lawi Mshelia, who disclosed this to newsmen in Maiduguri said there are four suspected cases that were reported ,of which three were confirmed by the National Center for Disease Control.

Dr.  Mshelia urged residents and indigenes of the State not to panic, and assured them that the situation is under control. It would be recalled that in May, the country recorded its first death from Monkey pox since the beginning of this year
