SEC, AFDB Sign Agreement on Market Surveillance System Project

The Securities and Exchange Commission and the African Development Bank Group have signed an agreement for a grant on market surveillance system project.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Director-General, African Development Bank Group Lamin Barrow said the grant, valued at four hundred and sixty thousand dollars is to finance technical assistance and capacity building for capital market development under the Nigeria Securities Market Surveillance System Project.

The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria has called on Industry Stakeholders to work together to enable the sector to maximize the untapped potential in the economy and raise the confidence level.

The newly-inaugurated President, CIIN, Edwin Igbiti, who spoke on strategies to redeem the industry’s battered image, after being sworn in as the new leader of the institute in Lagos, assured that his administration would unite the Stakeholders and uphold professional ethics.
