The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Affairs, Comrade Chibuzor Ndom, has called on youths to endeavour to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards before the July 31, deadline.

Comrade Ndom who made the call in Umuahia during a meeting with all student Union Government Presidents of tertiary Institutions, Leadership of National Association of Nigeria Students and Leaders of Youth group in the state, disclosed that without their PVC, will be difficult to make the right choice during the 2023 general elections.

He appreciated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his support as well as the Founder, Akurulo Youths Foundation, Mr. Ogalla for partnering the Youths and invited the youths to a power concert slated for Sunday, thirty-first July at Umuahia Township Stadium, at three o’clock in the afternoon while their PVC will be a gate pass.

Comrade Ndom noted that the concert with the theme,: ‘’The Power of Your Vote’’, which is organized in conjunction with Independent National Electoral Commission and Akurulo Youth Foundation, will provide opportunity for those who have not registered for PVC to do so from Saturday, thirtieth July and will feature performances from Mr. Raw, J Martins, Rugged Man, among others.

In their contributions, the SUG President, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Comrade Chukwuma Ogochukwu, on behalf of the Council of SUG Presidents and the Zonal Representative of NANs, Comrade Frank Eme Orji, appreciated Comrade Ndom for organizing the programme and promised to mobilize their students to attend.
