Arts, Culture, and Sports have been identified as important variables that promote unity in society.
The Secretary to the State Government, Mr Chris Ezem who stated this when Executive members of the state chapter of Legend musicians led by the commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr Anthony Nwamuo paid him a visit, assured the musicians that the state will continue to honour and celebrate them for their role in using their talents in fostering National unity.
He promised them of being carried along in this year’s Abia Day celebration.
Speaking earlier, the commissioner for Tourism, Arts, Culture, Mr Anthony Nwamuo said the legend musicians from the state came to partner government in the promotion of the state’s cultural heritage.
Also speaking one of the musical legends, Mr Ikechukwu Uzo, said they were in the state to solicit partnership with government to enable them bring home what they do in other states.
In his vote of thanks, Mr Paulson Kalu thanked the SSG for finding time to receive them and lauded the present administration led by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for its numerous good works in the state.
