Foreign Ministers from the G7 Group of nations say, Russia must immediately hand back control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to Ukraine.
The Ministers from G7, an organization of some of the World’s Wealthiest nations who made the demand in a statement said that they were concerned over the series of threat to safety at the nuclear plant.
They accused Moscow’s forces of putting the entire region in danger as the facility and its surrounding area saw shelling last week, which Russia and Ukraine blamed on each other.
Reports say the complex, Europe’s largest has been under Russian occupation since early March, although Ukrainian technicians still operate it.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials say, Russian shelling in Central Ukraine overnight killed at least sixteen persons.
