NDLEA INTERCEPTS NORTH-BOUND TWO POINT THREE MILLION TABLETS OF ILLICIT DRUGS.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has intercepted over 2.3 million tablets of illicit pharmaceutical opioids and other Psychoactive substances meant for distribution in seven northern states.

The Director, Media and Advocacy of the NDLEA, Mr. Femi Babafemi who stated this in a statement today in Abuja named the States as Borno, Kano, Kaduna, Sokoto, Zamfara, Gombe and Nasarawa.

Mr. Babafemi explained that the agency in the past week had series of interdiction operations adding that a total of two million three hundred and twenty-five thousand five hundred and fifty-three tablets and capsules of tramadol, pregabalin, Hupnox, Diiazipam among others were seized in all.

He disclosed that this included seven thousand three hundred and fifty three bottles of a new  Psychoactive substance locally called Akuskura meant for the seven states that were seized from locations across Kaduna,  Kogi ,Sokoto and the FCT.
