STUDENTS OF ABIA POLY TOLD TO IGNORE CALLS TO GO ON PROTEST.

Government says its attention has been drawn to a notice in circulation on Social Media Platforms, inciting students of Abia State Polytechnic Aba to embark on a politically instigated protest.

A release endorsed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr. Eze Chikamnayo says, government frowns at such opportunistic  posturing  by political hirelings and their agents led by some cultists who are no longer students which is targeted at disruption of peace and security of the Institution and polity.

According to the release, government has ordered relevant Security Agencies to arrest the Leader of the gang, one Chinomso Taylor from Imo State and his cohorts as well as deal decisively with all the other unscrupulous perpetrators and enemies of the State in line with the law.

It discloses that the State government has made good its promise of four hundred and fifty million naira to the Institution and payment of salaries to the Staff of Abia State Polytechnic Aba is ongoing as has been confirmed by the Staff.

The release reveals that all necessary processes have already been put in place by government to help the Institution serve the students better through the resumption of uninterrupted academic activities. 

It enjoins Students, Parents and the entire Stakeholders of Abia State Polytechnic to ignore the mischief of political wayfarers and concentrate on the onerous task at hand.
