NEMA RESCUES NINE FROM SINKING BUILDING IN LAGOS STATE.

The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, says nine persons have been rescued from a sinking building in the Maryland area of Lagos.

The Lagos Territorial Coordinator of the agency Ibrahim Farinloye who confirmed the development in a statement disclosed that NEMA received a distressed alert on a sinking storey building where nine people were trapped.

Mr. Farinloye added that the building is located at 47 Akinwunmi Street, Akinwunmi North, Estate Mende, Maryland, Ikeja, while all the nine trapped ladies have been successfully rescued.

He explained that the landlord of the building used a ladder to escape.
