The Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has acquired license on National Identity for the State.
Speaking during a courtesy call on the Director General BCA, Sir Anyaso Anyaso, the Special Adviser to the Governor on National Identity, Digital Economy and other related matters, Princess Glad Apugo-Osoagbaka disclosed that the Governor has also acquired equipment to help them enroll citizens at various outlets in the State.
Princess Osoagbaka who described National Identity as an important exercise backed by law, called on the public to register for their National Identity Cards, and revealed that her office has lined up activities to mark this year’s World Identity Day coming up on Friday this week.
In his remarks, the Director General BCA, Sir Anyaso Anyaso promised that the BCA will partner the group in sensitizing Abians on the need to get registered.
Sir Anyaso acknowledged the efforts of Governor Ikpeazu in empowering government agencies like the BCA to deliver, and reiterated the readiness of the Corporation to work for the state government.
In a vote of thanks, the Commissioner for Documentation and Strategic Communication and a member of the group, Mr. Ugochukwu Emezue disclosed that the Friday celebration will feature walk, as well as seminar and commended the BCA for her programmes and Governor Ikpeazu for his imputes in the Corporation.
