SENATE TO ADDRESS 2023 BUDGET DEFICIT.

The Senate says it will address the 2023 budget deficit of eleven point zero three trillion Naira through the amendment of the relevant provisions of the Finance Act.

The Chairman Senate Committee on General Services, Senator Sani Musa, made this known after the Senate Makeshift Chambers was inspected by the Senate President, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, ahead of their resumption.

Senator Musa stressed that they will dwell on areas of making the various revenue generating agencies to triple their targets, as well be handed over to them by the Parliament.

He disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to present the 2023 annual budget which was pegged at nineteen point seven-six trillion Naira with a total of eleven point zero-three trillion Naira deficit for ways to abridge.
