In line with the promise by the Speaker, State House of Assembly , Chief Chinedum Orji, to transform the assembly complex and give it a befitting ambiance in his inaugural speech, the House is embarking on the renovation of some offices.

Speaking after conducting some journalists round the project , the Clerk and Permanent Secretary, of the State House of Assembly, Sir John Pedro Irokansi said the current project is to renovate the existing building with the aim of providing private conveniences for some directors and senior staff in the House as well as flood control within the complex.

Sir Irokansi noted that the philosophy behind the project is to provide a contusive work environment, not only for the lawmakers but for the staff, to motivate them in the efficient delivery and discharge of their duties.

The clerk while recalling that over the years, flooding has posed a big challenge to the assembly complex with parts of the fence being pulled down in some cases, assured of proper channeling of the flood water. He commended the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chief Chinedum Orji for his commitment as well as living up to the pledge of giving the assembly complex a new and befitting ambiance and challenged the staff to put in their best.
