The Chairman, Abia State Physical Planning and Infrastructural Development Fund (PPIDF) Dr. Ezebunwa Ubani has described the late Deaconess Violet Festus, popularly called ‘Daa Ocha’, as a woman of noble character, who stood for peace, togetherness and progress in her lifetime.

Dr. Ubani, who stated this in his tribute during the funeral at Umuekpe-Ukwu village Umugo, Alaiyi Autonomous Community in Ugwanagbo Local Government Area stated that the deceased being a very good friend of his late mother was a devout Christian who resourcefully impacted on everyone around her.

The PPIDF Boss in condoling the bereaved family, especially her children, Mr. Chukwuemeka Festus and deaconess Kate Okebugwu, enjoined them to hold on to the legacies their mother left behind.

In a sermon titled: Who shall Stand, Pastor Victor George of the Seventh Day Adventist Church Umugo reminded the living to make peace with God now as there won’t be any other opportunity when the soul returns to God who is its original owner.
