NDLEA BURNS OVER TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS COCAINE IN LAGOS.

Chairman, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Brig. General Buba Marwa Rtd says tough times await drug barons and cartels operating in the Country if they fail to back out of their criminal trade and embrace legitimate ventures.

Brig. General Marwa stated this while leading stakeholders to witness the crushing and setting ablaze of one point eight tons of cocaine recovered by the Agency from a warehouse in the Ikorodu area of Lagos last week.

The NDLEA Boss represented by the Agency’s Director, Prosecution and Legal Services and Deputy Commander General, Narcotics, Sunday Joseph said the volume of the  drug haul put at two hundred and seventy eight million  two hundred and fifty million dollars speaks volume of the extent of the nefarious activities of the drug underworld. It would be recalled that the Agency had in a well-Coordinated and intelligence –led operation that lasted for two days stormed the hidden warehouse, recovered the tons of cocaine and arrested five suspects including a Jamaican.
