The Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has congratulated Abians whose names appeared on the 2022 National Honors list.

A release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Onyebuchi Ememanka names them to include Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala – GCON; Eze Joseph Nwabeke- CFR; Professor G.O.C. Okenwa – OFR and  Chief Mrs. Nkeiru Onyejeocha – OON.

The release says others are  Professor Ihechukwu Madubuike – OON; Eze Uzo Nwosu – MFR; Eze Isaac Ikonne – MON,  Elder Raymond Aliga – MON, Prince Chris Odinaka Igwe – OFR and Comrade Chris Isiguzo – MFR.

It describes their selection for the national honors as a vindication of their consistency in the pursuit of excellence, hard work and integrity in their respective endeavors.

According to the release the Governor congratulated them for bringing honor to themselves and the State, and charged them to remain beacons of light and dedicated service to humanity.

In the same vein, Governor Ikpeazu has also congratulated the Chairman Enyimba Football Club, Chief Felix Anyansi Agwu on his recent election as the first Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Governor Ikpeazu described the election of Chief Agwu as recognition of his years of dedication to the development of football, especially in the State through Enyimba International Football Club.

The Governor wished him success in his new role and prayed that together with his colleagues, they will bring back the days of great football in National teams.
